The October Project community has to keep me on my path. That’s why you are here. To guide me through the … I don’t want to call them rough patches. It’s more like my moments of, “Well, yes, I’ll get to my writing but first I need to do this thing …”
I never did get to it. I did one, two, maybe a half dozen other things that had to get done—the recycling center, the doggie daycare, the rental prep and so on and so on. And off to bed early to head out on a road trip before the world rises.
I did get a walk in, and I did end up “closing my rings,” you Apple Watch folks will know what I’m talking about. So that’s good. And I made dinner. Also good. The whole day wasn’t a loss. In fact, it was a good day. Just not one where I prioritized my project when I full well meant to do so.
What’s On Tap for Day 7
Writing about my grandmother. And salmon loaf. I will write this later of course, but let me say here that when I was a child my grandmother had always struck me as being of a different feather. And it’s just now that I am realizing she seemed different from others in my family because she was optimistic. She had a sunny disposition. And that was just so unlike anything that surrounded me.
But first, at least 8 hours of driving is in front of me. Let me get to that first.
